Frequently asked

Is there really a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan runs real tournaments with no credit card and no time limit: 1 at a time, up to 32 players, all 7 bracket formats. Paid plans also include a 14-day free trial.

Can I change plans at any time?

Yes. Upgrade or downgrade whenever you like. Changes take effect immediately, and we prorate your billing.

How do entry fees work?

You can set an entry fee that shows on your signup page, so players know the cost before they register. Players pay you directly at the venue. BracketSpot doesn’t process entry fees.

What’s the difference between Pro and Enterprise?

Pro is built for a busy venue: unlimited tournaments, up to 512 players, and every AI feature. Enterprise adds unlimited players and a dedicated account manager. It’s also the tier where white-label branding, a custom domain, the full read and write API, SSO/SAML and audit logs land — those are planned, not available yet. All 5 display types and sponsor overlays are included from Starter up, so they aren’t what separates Pro from Enterprise.

What happens if I hit a plan limit?

Nothing breaks mid-tournament. Your bracket keeps running and your players keep checking in — caps aren’t enforced in the app today, because the middle of a live event is the worst possible time to find out. Your plan’s limits are listed above and your current usage is on the billing page in your settings, so you can upgrade whenever it makes sense.

Do you offer annual billing?

Yes. Pay yearly and get 2 months free on every paid plan. Use the toggle at the top of the page to see annual pricing and the exact amount you save.

What happens to my data if I downgrade?

Your data is never deleted, and you can export to CSV or PDF at any time. On Free, the dashboard shows your most recent 30 days of tournament history — upgrade again and the full archive reappears, along with any premium features you had.

Can I cancel any time?

Absolutely. There are no long-term contracts. Cancel whenever you like and keep access until the end of your billing period.

Does the 14-day trial need a card?

Yes. Starting a paid plan collects a payment method at checkout, and it isn’t charged until day 15 — cancel before then and you pay nothing. The Free plan is different: no card, no trial, no time limit. Upgrading a paid plan you already have doesn’t start a new trial.

Where does the BracketSpot name still show?

On Free, “Powered by BracketSpot” appears on your bracket display and on the embed widget. Starter and above remove it from both. It still appears in the footer of your public results page, your signup page, your @handle profile and printed brackets — on every plan, including paid ones. Removing it from the results and signup pages is on our list.
